Hazardous Waste Management Approach for Heavy Metals in Soil by Phytoremediation

نویسندگان

چکیده

There have been a lot of practical applications phytoremediation in the last ten years, involving organic, inorganic, heavy metal, and radionuclide remediation. India would find this to be an excellent alternative conventional remediation methods as it is sustainable inexpensive process. The huge retention industrial waste soil resulted pollution which more hazardous due long-term persistence contaminants. A major source products Bhopal city region. Near residential areas, industries produce that can very harmful human health. objective research was determine metal accumulators are capable absorption translocation metals. In Govindpura sampling sites, Cr Ni concentrations were higher, while Cd lower. Phytoremediation conducted by comparing accumulation Datura inoxia, Calotropis procera, Ricinus commmunis, Polygonum vitro cultures.

Phytoremediation of toxic metals from soil and waste water.

Phytoremediation is an emerging technology, which uses plants and their associated rhizospheric microorganisms to remove pollutants from contaminated sites. This plant based technology has gained acceptance in the past ten years as a cheap, efficient and environment friendly technology especially for removing toxic metals. Plant based technologies for metal decontamination are extraction, volat...

Phytoremediation of soil metals.

The phytoremediation of metal-contaminated soils offers a low-cost method for soil remediation and some extracted metals may be recycled for value. Both the phytoextraction of metals and the phytovolatilization of Se or Hg by plants offer great promise for commercial development. Natural metal hyperaccumulator phenotype is much more important than high-yield ability when using plants to remove ...

Phytoremediation of heavy metals by Trifolium alexandrinum

The release and persistence of toxic heavy metals into the natural environment is a serious concern especially in urban areas. The problem of heavy metal pollution is gaining momentum from year to year as more and more amounts of heavy metals are extracted from their ores and released into the environmental segments (water, air and soil) during processing or afterwards. Heavy metals are essenti...

Phytoremediation and long-term site management of soil contaminated with pentachlorophenol (PCP) and heavy metals.

Pentachlorophenol (PCP) is a persistent organic pollutant (POP) previously used as a timber treatment chemical to prevent sap stain and wood rot. Commonly used in wood treatment industries for the last 50 years, there are now many sites worldwide that are contaminated with PCP. Although persistent, PCP is a mobile contaminant and therefore has a propensity to leach and contaminate surrounding e...
